National Windsurfing Festival: sSs score the 1st prize in Freestyle Expression session.

sSs Team Rider, Adam Sims, has been working hard on his freestyle and it all paid off at the National Windsurfing Festival at Hayling Island last weekend. Adam also competed in the Battle of the Brands, the night windsurfing competition and the racing. Here's his take on the weekend:
''The National Windsurfing Festival was a total success, for not just me but also RRD/Ezzy, with what couldn't be a better result in the Battle of the Brands tag team event.
For me personally I was fortunate enough to be on the winning team, Gav and Connor had done a good job before I went out and our randomly selected freeride demon seemed to keep things looking hopeful as well, which meant all I had to do was go fast and overtake the freeriders from two other teams, so I did and we won!
Following on from the days success I also managed a 5th overall in the Night Super-X event, which was held using an Ezzy Freeride 8.5 and an RRD X-Fire 112l board, more of a slalom race so not my discipline.
On the Sunday the wind had completely gone, which wasn't such a bad thing as I'm sure there were more sunglasses on and bottles of water in hand then the previous day.
The wind did gradually pick up to gusting 10-15 knots and so (Boardseeker) Louise called the freestyle comp. A ten minute expression session with overall impression to count and the winner takes £100 cash courtesy of Boardseeker magazine.
It was pretty close at the end, I had pumped myself into a flaka and Ben Proffitt landing a grubby up the beach to the point that he stepped/fell off, either way I'm sure it was a close call as Proffitt came 3rd, I came second and the Boardseeker clone first...
Very controversial but entertaining, so fair enough, I did however receive the prize money as the clone apparently had no need for money!
